I submitted my payroll, dating it for a federal holiday by mistake. The payroll was allowed to be submitted, without notifying me that it would be dated for the MONDAY following the Friday holiday. This is unacceptable! Sage can notify me when I am not within the 48 hour window for submitting payroll, but it cannot notify me that the payroll will not actually be deposited on the correct date because of a holiday. If this error message was in place, I would have had enough time to change the payroll date so all of our employees would have received their paycheck the day before the holiday, rather than THREE days past the date they were to receive it! In fact, no matter what the reason is, the payroll date should NEVER be allowed to be changed without notifying the employer first. Anytime the date changes from the date that employer posted on the check, there should be a pop up box that the employer should have to click to verify the change. Come on Sage! We pay too much money for your product to have this overlooked. You can't tell me that the system is not sophisticated enough to recognize this. That is nonsense!!!!
