When using the task "Write Letters" use the email default that invoices use

When writing letters it only allows you to use outlook.  I currently setup email preferences to use gmail.  Can you also make writing letters use gmail.  It doesn't make sense to be able to use gmail when sending invoice, sales orders and quotes but not be able to use gmail to write letters.  We don't use Outlook so the letter writing function is no use to us.
