We bring in a product by the meter but sell in by the foot but in the unit of measure field you can only use whole numbers, the conversion for meter to foot is 3.28, so we need the decimal to properly convert it. This seems like it would be a very easy fix, with no reason for it not being possible.
Same issue, we need support for decimals here.
Additionally for my group we need to be allowed to make the conversion value less than 1.
I order roll goods by the pound and then consume & inventory them by the lineal foot.
Why: The roll good is not perfectly produced so 1 ft may weigh 1.16 lbs while the next foot could weigh 1.2 lbs with no efficient way for us to check while producing goods. Much more efficient to say i used 6 pcs 10 ft long on that part.
Another example being a 100 lineal ft roll weighs 120 lbs while another "same" roll weighs 130 lbs. but since i'm making a 10ft widget the lbs variance would create an inventory mismatch that could either create a significant inventory write-down at the end of the year, or create a 0 stock issue that wouldn't allow me to produce a BOM.
