In the past, when an open quote was edited, then converted to a proposal, invoice, or sales order, the system prompted user to save changes to the quote. This no longer happens, and it has caused us a lot of reporting inabilities because if we change a customer ID or TrackIt status on a quote, then click convert, it just nukes whatever changes we've made, and creates the new converted transaction. We can no longer sort our quote list by TrackIt Status to see our unique indicators, and we can therefore no longer create a report based on those indicators. Now we have to OPEN the quote, make whatever changes or additions our process requires, SAVE the quote, REOPEN the quote, THEN CONVERT IT. We ran for all of this year before we noticed this issue, and the only way to correct it would be to delete all related invoices, and sales orders, and payments, which also deletes the original quote, re-enter the quote, edit the quote, save the quote, reopen the quote, RECONVERT, re-enter related invoice, re-enter related customer payment. WE CANNOT. So we have lost sales team performance data that we cannot retrieve at this point.
This is just a "save changes" warning pop up that was inexplicably removed from Sage in the 2024 version. There is no reason to have removed it, and it should be added back to the software ASAP
