Add a column on account register page for "reconciled" or cleared items" so we know at a glance if items are outstanding.

It is useful so I can see if items are cleared or not cleared when looking at the balance of the account and know of the outstanding items especially right after reconciling the bank. It would also be relevant to see a check or deposit from anywhere if it would show whether it was still outstanding or cleared in a previous reconciliation from whatever screen I pulled the transaction up from either GL detail or reports, or drilling down from a report. I have never used an accounting program where this was not super easy to see the results of the tranaction pertaining to cleared or outstanding. I also agree that the reconciliation report is lacking that is does not print the beginning balance and the cleared deposits and ACH credits to account, and the cleared checks and ACH debits to the account and then list outstanding items as of the date reconciled. Then I would be able to look and print my last reconciliation but that is not an option with sage, since it does not list this on the reconciliation report.

While on a report would be nice, I believe that the transaction itself should also have an indication if the item has cleared. This is a key part of operations.

The rabbit trail is, An Vendor Bill is claimed as unpaid. Going to the Vendor, and then the Bill, there IS clear indication the Bill has been paid. Viewing related Documents, we can identify the Payment used. BUT what we cannot see is if the payment has cleared or when it was cleared. In the case of a bill payment, we can go to another report and find the item and add the column for the clearing date.

HOWEVER, that is only one case of many. The remainder of cases have no way within SAGE50 to provide that basic information to resolve disputes.

Poor dispute resolution is poor business relations, from poor support by the accounting software.
